Descriptions of Some of my pieces

Mixed Media
Reach for the Sky
Watercolor, Magazine Paper, Pencil, and Colored Pencil all went in to making this piece. The challenge was to use all these mediums to make a clean cohesive piece.

Digital
Ice Cream Shop
In this piece, made in Photoshop, I was portraying what it felt like to work at a hole in the wall ice cream shop. I had to keep a good understanding of the use of positive and negative space while still maintaining a good flow of movement.

Charcoal
Stuck in My Room
In this piece I showed my understanding of still life both in still objects and a person. Created during the beginning of the COVID pandemic, a lot was on my mind and I wanted to show that in this piece.

Acrylic Paint
34 Down
With Acrylic Paint and a Linoleum stamp I was able to make this piece that represents the amount of school shootings from January to May of 2018. In only 5 months 35 states had been victim to at least one school shooting.

Mixed Media
Yin and Yang
Scratchboard, Gouache, and Gel Pen were used to make this piece. I wanted to show the difference of color and monochrome and how they can work together.

Santa Croce Cathedral Sketches
These sketches were done in Florence Italy at the Santa Croce Cathedral. There I sketched a sculpture of Dante, A woman on Machiavelli's tomb, a statue of Mary and Jesus, and the inside of a chapel in the gardens.

Colored Pencil
Drawing of a Drawing
In this piece made entirely of colored pencil (except gel pen for the stars) I drew one of my fellow classmates while they worked on a watercolor assignment. In this piece I was focusing on Perspective.

Digital
Persephone
In this piece, made in Adobe sketchbook, I drew a body portrait of Persephone, the goddess of Spring and the Queen of the Underworld. My main focus with this piece was to apply my skill with human anatomy.
